Covering highlights?

i'm a a burnette (dark brown/black) and i got hightlights for the first time a couple months ago. my hairdresser just lightened my hair so now it's a carmel-color. my hair grew really fast for some reason and now i want to do something with the highlights to cover/change them. any suggestions?
