Pain in leg?

i hit my lower leg (just above the ankle) on the bottom edge of a car around march of last year, and it never bruised, but formed a small lump and hurt only when you touched it. around august i fell on some wet bleachers and hit it again, and the lump and pain grew, but no bruise. the pain never stopped in between those two times, and i got x-rays done, but no results. the lump is gone, but the pain is still strong when pressed. any ideas on what is wrong?
