Is it normal to be depressed while taking prednisone?

yes..i went through a phase of depression when i was on prednisone for a number of years. i had an immune problem that has just about cleared up, and i no longer take prednisone. my depression, although slight, did last for most of the time i was on it. if you are on it for a long period of time, also expect to gain weight, and become hungrier. hope this helps!
