Problem with george foreman indoor/outdoor grill?

on the inside of the lid, it looks like the paint melted off after i used it. the middle of the lid is a dull grey and there are dull grey drip like patterns on the side. contrasting the dull grey is the shiny silver. anyone have this problem?
