Broken Xbox 360 and PS3...?

My boyfriend and I ended up with a broken Xbox 360 and a PS3 from a friend who wanted us to fix them. Neither could be fixed without ordering several parts, so we now have both. I was just wondering if there was anything I could do with the parts, like splice the systems together, or make a blu-ray player or anything like that. As of now, both are sitting in the closet wasting space, so I just wondered if there is anything we can do with the parts (aside from selling them on Ebay). I think the disc drive in the 360 is broken, and the PS3 was dropped, so I'm not sure what works and what doesn't in it. The disc drive looks operational, but the system wouldn't turn on so I can't really check. I was just thinking I could mess around with the two, but I just wanted to find out realistically if anything could ever be made out of the parts. If not, we'll probably just sell whatever works.
